Your Engagement Ring Style

Not only is it the first feature of your wedding that everyone who knows about your big day will want to see, but it is also the symbol of your status as an engaged couple and something that the one special person in your life is going to wear for the rest of your time together. So the groom would not be wrong if he felt the slightest bit under pressure when choosing the perfect engagement ring.

The most popular and classic shapes for diamond engagement rings is known as the princess cut. The diamond whether set in stone, or a wide tapered band (usually yellow or white gold) has pointed corners and is traditionally square in shape. Although beautiful and unique it does not always tend to be in expensive price range. Depending on the size of the princess, ranging from ¼ to more than a full carat, it has been known to pick up one of these little beauties for as little as £250 pounds.

If your looking for something more pricey to express your love than maybe head for a more distinctive look such as that of the six prong engagement ring. With the spectators eye being drawn to the sparkling centre of the stone due to the six prongs it offers a startling effect to the piece. The setting of the stone is often customisable and depending again on the size of the carat you could be looking at a price around £4800 pounds!!!!

In my opinion one of the most beautiful designs for engagement rings for today is a multi diamond engagement ring. With the best feature of course being the larger diamond surrounded by a smaller sparkling arrangement it is guaranteed to catch the eye of a passer by. Not only does it provide more to gaze at but in most cases looks more expensive than traditional rings. Typically this kind of design would weigh slightly more than ½ carat and be found with prices or a minimum £350 pounds.

Finally, other than gold engagement rings, and the many different designs that diamond rings come in, the alternative option is the Celtic harmony engagement ring. Symbolising everlasting love and the joining together of two special lives, this ring becomes an instant heirloom from its pure beauty and distinctiveness. The love knot is prominently featured in a gold setting offering an unusual style to its design and although less expensive than a diamond engagement ring, the style could still be under a minimum of £400.
